Abstract:
The horizontal drilling technology for shale oil in the Cangdong Sag of Dagang Oilfield has gradually matured, but issues such as low rotary speed, prolonged drilling cycles, and extended non-progression time persist. To accelerate and improve the drilling efficiency of horizontal wells in the Cangdong Sag, optimizations in wellbore structure, drilling equipment upgrades, and personalized PDC bit design were implemented. Integrated technologies including oil-based drilling fluid, high-torque motor, aggressive parameter drilling, and scientific drilling were developed, forming the optimized rapid drilling technology for Cangdong shale oil horizontal wells. This technology was tested in the Cangdong GY8-1-2H well, reducing the drilling cycle to 24.15 days and achieving a rotary speed of 24.06 m/h—a 45.9% improvement over adjacent wells, with significantly enhanced drilling efficiency. Research and application results demonstrate that through technological upgrades and optimizations, a preliminary optimized rapid drilling technology system suitable for Cangdong Oilfield's shale oil horizontal wells has been established. This lays a solid foundation for drilling speed improvement in similar wells and offers valuable reference for analogous projects.
