Profile of Dr. Caspar Daniel Adenutsi (Academic Editor, Petroleum Drilling Techniques)

Dr. Caspar Daniel Adenutsi is a faculty member of the Department of Petroleum Engineering in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. Prior to this he worked as a Research Scientist in the Institute of Industrial Research of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Ghana.

He obtained his Ph.D. from the China University of Geosciences in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in 2019, earned his M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Ghana in 2013 and graduated in 2008 with a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the KNUST. Dr. Adenutsi has earned certification in Data Science applications in the oil and gas industry.

Dr. Adenutsi has research experience in porous media fluid flow, nano-enhanced oil recovery, low permeability reservoir characterization by fractal analysis as well as the application of artificial intelligence in the petroleum industry. The research of Dr. Adenutsi is driven by the quest to solve problems associated with production of petroleum from challenging reservoirs at low costs and in an environmentally friendly manner. This has led to many publications in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals in the field of petroleum engineering.

Dr. Adenutsi had industrial experience while working with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation. He worked offshore aboard drilling rigs during the Phase-1 Development of the Jubilee Field in Ghana. He was trained in drilling operations such as cement slurry design and casing tallying. He also had the opportunity to be trained in production operations at the Saltpond Field, offshore Ghana.
