不同加重剂对超高密度钻井液性能的影响

Effects of Weighting Agent on Ultra-High Density Drilling Fluid’s Performance

  • 摘要: 针对超高密度钻井液中加重剂用量大、货源稀少、价格昂贵,或硬度较大、磨损钻具、具有毒性等问题,选择目前应用最广泛的重晶石粉和国外开发的微锰粉MicroMAX为加重剂,研究了其对钻井液性能的影响。分别用扫描电镜和激光粒度仪分析了重晶石粉和微锰粉的微观形态和粒度分布,并将其按一定比例复配为加重剂,配制出2.85~2.90 kg/L的超高密度钻井液,高温老化后进行流变性、滤失性和沉降稳定性的评价试验。试验结果表明:纯度较高的重晶石粉能够配制出具有良好流变性、悬浮稳定性的超高密度钻井液,且高温高压滤失量小;用重晶石粉和密度更高、粒径较小的微锰粉复配加重,高温老化后钻井液的黏度和动切力下降,流变性有一定改善,但高温高压滤失量增大。综合考虑钻井液性能、经济性和实用性,建议用性价比相对较高的重晶石粉为加重剂。用重晶石粉加重的2.75~2.89 kg/L的超高密度钻井液在官深1井三开井段进行了现场试验,安全钻进约745 m。

     

    Abstract: In view of some problems about weighting agent in ultra-high density drilling fluid,such as large dosage,scarce supply,expensive prices,high hardness,drilling tools wear,toxicity,etc.,weighting agents,most widely used barite and MicroMax developed abroad,were selected to study their influence on drilling fluid’s properties.Their microscopic shape and size distribution were analyzed and then two kinds of ultra-high density drilling fluid (ρ=2.85-2.90 kg/L) were prepared with barite and the mixture of barite and MicroMAX as weighting materials to evaluate their rheology,filtration and sedimentation stability.After high temperature aging,the test results showed that high purity barite can make ultra-high density drilling fluid with good rheology,suspension stability and low filtration at high temperature and pressure.Whereas the ultra-high density drilling fluid,using mixed barite and MicroMAX of higher density and smaller grain size as weighting agent,showed reduction in viscosity and dynamic shear force,improvement in rheology,but increased filtration at high temperature and high pressure.Taking drilling fluid performance,economy and practicability into comprehensive consideration,it is suggested that the cost effective barite alone be used as weighting agent as far as possible.The ultra-high density drilling fluid based on barite with densities of 2.75-2.89 kg/L was tested in Well Guanshen 1 in Guandu Area,which was safely drilled for 745 m.
